Case Resistors
Crohm Series CC case resistors are frequently used for light-duty braking of variable-frequency drives, heating applications and various AC and DC load applications. Hermetically sealed components with high-temperature leads simplify installation in space-constrained environments.

Design
A sealed aluminum extrusion houses a nickel-chromium element encapsulated in ceramic-based casting material.
- Protection against corrosion
- Thermal-cycling and mechanical-shock resistance
- Efficient heat transfer while maintaining electrical isolation
- High-temperature wire leads connected before casting

Ordering & part numbers
Part-number format: CC(wattage)–resistance. Example: CC400-200 = 400 watts, 200 ohms. Suffix –T specifies lead length; suffix –V specifies vertical configuration. Five standard sizes from 200–600 watts continuous in horizontal or vertical mounting.
